Anyone ever done it? I already have 2" shackles and I want another 1" in the rear. I figure the overload isnt doing anything anyway because I would bottom out before the overload would ever come into play. Any thoughts?

took mine off the truck when I had the 2/4 drop. The extra .75" completely leveled the truck. And you're correct, the axle will most likely bottom out before the overload would kick into place. Go for it.

I took them off of my 96 with a 2/4 drop. It sits perfectly level. I installed helper airbags for towing my boat. works out well.
