And what I've done so far is that I tried to debadge it, keyword tried. Got everything except that damn Sierra badge off fully.

use some Goo-Gone to get the rest of that sierra badge off
Ya tried that. Scrubbed that thing for 30 mins and it wont come off! lol
I've got a set of front bags that I'm not going to use.
PM me if you need them.
You can get a 3M eraser wheel to take care of the rest of that sierra badge.
oh and while youre at the autobody supply house get the stuff to buff that thing out...lol
99 nbs GMC EC/SB 4x4
69 GMC panel truck droped, built smallblock and primer
another good thing i found useful when taking off my badges was heat it up a little bit with a heat gun or blow dryer and just use a little goo gone or the stuff to take off surfboard wax
Thanks for the help guys. Ya I know it needs to be buffed, but when you got to school 15 hours a week and work 40+ it gets hard to get stuff done. Especially when you have to plan your day around your gfs to make sure you can get to spend atleast 5 mins together a day.
And no thanks on the bags. I've got a set. I got more pictures this morning, i'll post them up here when I get out of school today.
My bag mounts for the back came in!

They are on there
I have also got my regulator, my gauges, fittings, and bag brackets thanks to Larry at Innovative air he got me a set of KP cups for my 02 for 40 dollars shipped. Someone before had tack welded them in and realized they didn't work with droped control arms, so thats a very good deal for me. I'm actually now just wanting to get a compressor, and also get nitrogen, anyone got a compressor?
as long as the welder knows what he is doing it should be alright, have fun with it![]()
2000 ECSB, 5.3, magna flow cat back, some beat in the back and a killer front stage
My neighbor welds. He welded our fence together that goes around like 2 acres. So I'd say he knows what he's doing.
Welding together a fence and welding together a suspension system is 2 totally different things...
Ya, but I also know where to weld the stuff, I can weld, but I'd rather him weld the stuff on for me. He's a certified welder. I know where everything lines up and how to hook everything on.
yea, my little brother can weld, hes 11. So being able to lay a nice clean beed(sp?) is not the deal here, position is key, don't be affraid to put sum heafty tacs on everything and cycle the suspension before you do final welding...

I am going to test everything before we finish it all up. For sure gonna get the notch in and then the 4 link. Seems like everyone likes to doubt each other on this site...
wouldn't say doubt but we do worry because we are one of the few boards that look at the whole picture...Originally Posted by northplayer13

Ya I'm glad everyone is worried. I'll hopefully have this thing done in a couple weeks, just waiting on my compressors to get here.
yes make sure to tack it in place and run it through the motions so you dont have to cut it out to move it
