You don't need them for shackles. You just have to remove the hitch to install the shackles, you can put it back on.![]()

Hello to all first post here. Ive done the jeep thing for a while but now on to the truck.
I am planning on dropping the rear 2 inches to help level the truck out. I have already purchased the shackles and now I need help on deciding which shocks. Thats if I even need new ones, I dont see to much info on just the 2 inch rear drop. If shocks are needed I prefer something firmer than the factory ride so I will most likely change front and back. So what are my option for some good shocks? Also I read that for the install of shackles I will have to remove the hitch, is that permanent? I havent looked under yet to see myself.
Thanks

Thanks for the help. For down the road what shock would you recommend for a more firm ride. I am used to firm rides instead of the factory bouncy ride.

i put air shocks on the back of mine to help with carrying a load,I also have a 4x4 and lowered mine 4" in the rear so shorter shocks where needed.
plus they where cheap..![]()
