This is a discussion on 3/5 drop but add air bag also within the Street forums, part of the General Discussion category; I have a 2008 silverado 2wd ext cab I want to put a 3/5 drop on it and run 22's ...
I have a 2008 silverado 2wd ext cab I want to put a 3/5 drop on it and run 22's but I know I won't have much clearence from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender which is fine.My question is,Is it possible to run a air bag like the link below so when I'm going to put something heavy in the bed I can raise the back end up a little so it won't rub. Thanks

i think it depends if you are going to use a flip kit or leafs to drop the rear. dont think it will work with a flip because the axle will be on top of the leafs, but should work if your using leafs. ive used AIR LIFTS setup which works well with flip kits
If you get the right size tire and wheel backspacing you won't have any problems. A 5" drop on the 08's isn't very low.
My truck has flipkit (I have the belltech airjack)it goes behind the axle on top of the spring pack.Originally Posted by sickblack08

damn...305/55/20 is a freakin 33.2" tall tire...you need to be more worried about front clearance when turning.

When I went back there a couple weeks later they put a z rated tire on it the 305 were a toyo m/t tire also they said they didn't rub though.
