I have 20x8.5's w/ 5" backspacing, it looks like the rims wont make it if I did a 4/6 drop, I have 275/45/20's Eagle GTII's so they are pretty meaty

Anyone have those size tires and 4/6 drop?

If I can't do 4/6 I was gonna try 2/4...In this situation I was gonna do coils up front and hangers shackles in back. What kind of coils are good? Hotchkis? Eibach? prices?

With 5 inches of backspacing and 275/45/20 tires I would not try a 4/6 drop. You would have bad rubbing problems. If you want to go 4/6 will have to get smaller tires 255/35/20 or 245/40/20

    Check out supermandan's thread. He has a 2/4 with 20X8 Centerlines http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forum/s...threadid=34969

I have 275/45's also. I think my Maxims have 5" of backspacing, so do you think a 40 series tire would rub w/ a 4/6? I've been kind of skeptical about putting a 4/6 on my truck, but I saw a red reg. cab today w/ a 4/6 and it didnt look too low, so I think im gonna go with that. But I know I need some new tires first.

    chevyman992002,
I have a 4/6 on my truck with 20X8.5 with 5.25 backspacing and I don't have any rubbing problems with 245/40/20 tires. If I remember correctly the AR Maxims for the new Chevrolet trucks come with 5.5 backspacing. So I 245/40/20 tire would work perfectly.

it looked real close for a 4/6 drop, but might work. if you go with a 2/4...either go with the DJM or the hotchkis. with the hotchkis, your ride will get a bit stiffer and the DJM should hold the stock ride quality.
