Do anyone know if the standard rear 2link from ekstensive will work on a long bed 89- 98?:fsc:
yes it will.
I'M HERE FOR THE FREE PEANUTS
i am pretty sure it does not. call them 281 442 1050 talk to mitch.
thanks
i say that becuase ive been a dealer for ekmw parts for 8 years. and a while back a guy in my club has a bagged and b/d long bed and we tried to order a kit for it and was told it was not the same. again this was a long time ago so i am not 100% sure. that is why i posted there phone#.
2 link = fail
i just did a search on car-part and it looks like the leaf springs are the same. so i dont see why it wont work. unless the frame tapers differently cuasing the notch kit not to fit correctly. mike has worked on enough of thes trucks. i am sure if he says it will work then it should.
posting your opinion in a 2 link thread=fail
ain't nothing wrong with a 2 link.
just a lil' hop-up in corners and accelerating.
just make sure you get a panhard bar.
how much is that 2 link from eksensive? is it worth it for how simple it is to fab it up
I make them also and I can tell you theres lots of $$ in the pieces, the perches, u bolts, bushings, sleeves etc not to mention the tubing. they are not cheap to make.
The frame taper may make this not fit. if it doesnt just ask them why and if theres anything you can do to make it fit or buy it without the pieces that dont fit.
well i know a 2 link cant be that expensive...ive built my own tri-4 link 3 times with minimal cost...
The EKMW kit is pretty hard to beat on price for everything you get. Thats why theres nobody else making them as the same kit with the same stuff because theres no profit in it unless you make and sell a bunch of them like EKMW does.
If your looking for one that does not come with everything, maybe because you already have some of it then there are several places that make those.
ive got 100K miles on my EKMW bag setup...I love it for what it is and how easy to install it was..
if I were to do it all again, I would use the KP components setup w/ the cantilevered rear bar, but at the time i bagged my truck I didnt make enough money to afford it....of course 8 years ago the EKMW setup was like 750 shipped to your door for the rear setup, front cups, & shock relocators.
hence why I didnt go w/ the KP setup
