Ok guys need some quick help for a buddy. I was called to his house and he showed me his truck after installing a 6" flip kit for the rear. There is a problem though. His axle is crooked. It looks as though the rear of his truck is turning left after all the parts are installed and we're not sure why. After installing all the parts, everything was tight and all the (I'm not sure how to describe them) little placekeepers for the leaf springs and U-bolts are in their little holes so there's no play or movement anywhere. But still everything looks kosher but the rear axle is turning left really notcieably. I've searched the forum and can't find any instance or thread of this happening. Just lookin for some input for him. Thanks guys.

They're both bolted back on in the factory location but one of the shackles is faced slightly forward. I'm assuming due to the axle being turned one way
My guess would be one side has the flip kit is on backwards. The holes that line up the leaf springs probably arent exactly in the center and being on backwards would move one side of the axle either forward or back.
Ahh, good idea sir. That could be the problem. Keep throwin ideas out though anybody. Thanks weave!
Yup....the one side of the flip kit "block" is likely backwards...the locator holes on the ones I have used (belltech) are usually 1" back from the stock position to locate the axel in the right spot after it's raised.
While everything is assembled and finger tight, jack the back of the truck up about 4-5" off the ground and just let the jack down really fast and let the back end slam down on the ground (with your wheels/tires on of course) ... that will seat everything roughly where it has be (do that a couple times), make sure you measure from the center of the leaf to the center of the eye at the end, and make sure they are facing the correct direction, also, the flip kit parts that are mated to the leaf spring, make sure they are mated right against the leaf with little gap or play. Check your pinion angle and make sure that your driveshaft isn't binding in the tailstock of the tranny.
