In two weeks I am gonna bag the front of my 92 2wd Suburban. So far I have
12 gallon Tank, 2 Viair 380s, 8 SMC 1/2 valves, 1/2 airline, traps, checks, 2 Slam Re7s, 2 Slam Re8s, AVS ARC T9 switchbox, and all my fittings. I am still up in the air about how to do the rear ie 6 link or 4 link boa.
Laying the frame on my Suburban is not my goal with this particular truck.
Maybe in the future when I expand my fleet I can go all out and start chopping this thing up but for now I am being really conservative with my build. I just want a (fun)ctional worktruck to roll around in to promote by small business. I am a little concerned about cutting the spring pockets so I wanted to know my options. I know not to make square cuts but rather make the cuts in a crescent moon shape. Inside the spring pocket there is a little lip that sits frameside, how much of that needs to be trimmed down? My second question is about the different styles and length of cups. I read that a few different companies make different style cups that affects how much of the spring pocket needs to trimmed ie length of upper cup, off center cups, long top cups/ short bottoms. Can someone shed some light on which cups require the absolute least amount of cutting?
