Seems silly to get rid of an engine with 130k on it that is in great shape.

Hey all, It's been a LONG time since I've posted on these forums. Unfortunately I've been too busy to post anything on here not to mention the truck I have hardly gets driven. That said I am looking to change that. My truck is an all black 99' silverado RCSB 4x4, z71 w/5.3L. I've been toying the idea of selling it but can't seem to pull the trigger on officially posting it. Like said above I hardly drive it but when I need it its nice to have. Anyway, let's get down to why I started this thread. I think I have decided to keep her and do a little work to it. The reason I bought it was with intentions of lightly modding it and personalizing it since you really don't see to many reg cab short beds in my area.
The truck has 130k on it, but in its previous life it was owned by a GM mechanic and the truck is mechanically in great shape. The rockers are starting to get a little rust on the but that's an easy enough fix. My question is what should I do with it? I'm a fan of street trucks but with it being 4wd how practical with that be. I would also like to add some sort of power added be it a supercharger or turbo. Thoughts on both? With 130k on the clock is it even worth that or would I be better off dropping in a fresh powerplant?
Sorry for such a long post, just been throwing a lot of ideas around in my head as to what to do with this thing. Guess I wanted to gain some insight on what you all thought. I think there is potential here, just whether or not I want to pull the trigger on it.
