If you feel no vibration right now w/ the 2" drop....leave it alone.
If you do feel vibration and need to put shims in the fat side should go to the front.

Ok gonna try this again since i didnt get much of a response last time.I lowered the rear of my 97 silverado 2inches with drop shackles and i need to know which way the 2 degree shims(which are highly recomended for extended cabs) are supposed to go in.Fat side toward the front or back-the axle is below the springs.Any help is appreciated since i dont want to wear out u joints prematurely.The driveline and pinion looks to be in a straight line right now with no shims.

I did not need the shim when I installed the 0-2 drop. Only had to do it when I went 4-6.
