1996 GMC Sierra 1500 Drop

Ok im new to this forum and I need some help with my ride. Right now I have a 6" Fabtech that has been on it for 4 years now, It's time for a driffernt look.

I would like to bag all four corners and run 20's all the way around. I would also like it to lay frame if possible. What will I need to do it to accomplish this? What size tires and rims will I be able to run? What is the best kit out there right now to do this?

255/35's are what most people use. I use 245/40's which are almost the same height. I believe the preferred backspacing to tuck 20's is more than 5.5? (not too sure). There are plenty of kits out there, but it all depends who is doing it. Are you doing it yourself? do you weld?

I would like to do the install my self but I dont trust my self with a welder. I'm sure I could find some one to help me out with it if needed.

Air ride's air bar is probably the best bolt on system around now IMO. You need to mod a few extra things to get it layed out. You could also look into the KP components kit also.

Realistically, you won't get any KIT to lay out on a fullsize out of the box without some welding and fabrication. You'll need a step notch for one.

Yeah, Air Ride Technologies Air Bar is one of the best out there from what I've heard. KP Components has a bolt on 4 link also that is nice. If you want to lay out, you definitely have to weld in some type of large notch and might have to modify the kit a bit, but I'm not too sure about that. Airlift Gen II for 88-98 trucks kit has a pretty large notch (bolt on, I think) and I believe you can lay out with that one, except you still have to weld in some parts. Hope this helps.
