Can someone please tell of a respectable company for buying and installaing bags in the south bay in california for my 96 silverado. All i want is for my car to be bagged on a nice reliable system that doesn't break and is somewhat fast( doesn't hvae ot be real fast..just not really slow) but is also the best for you money(in other words, cheap and reliable). I want to be able to drop my car to the ground when parked and soemtimes have a little fun with the bags. can someone give me to info ..if anybody can give info on what system i shoudl use or which i shouldn't ...

There are a lot of routes that you can take. Most systems have good and bad things about them. Airlift might work for you, but airride is better for me. How about a little more info. It is a daily driver? Can you fab parts? Do you want bolt in? How much money do you have to spend?

    Good luck,

My truck is a daily driver and i'm looking to spend around 2700-3000. Id rather get it all bolt in by an installer. Everything i do always breaks somehow so i'd rather rely on a profesisonal to do all the work. id like front-back side to side if possible and have somethign clean and no tear up my bed...i'd still like to be able to carry stuff in the back

i sent you a pm (off topic)

as for your question, i dont think you will be able to get much done with that budget, at least if you were in phx, az you wouldnt be able to. if you do find a place to get a fbss for that price let me know.

Thats not much to work with in Cali. I wouldn't know I dont live there but they aren't that cheap here in Texas.

I ordered my setup from Master Image Customs in Cali was around the 2000's I got a lot more though but 2000 should be pretty close to a basic fbss from them maybe even cheaper who knows.

Id get in touch with a local shop that u could trust and get them to do it and they could order the parts at wholesale.

the shop that just did my truck basic bag setup, is 2600 bucks. Its like 200 more for FBSS and another 200 for 1/2inch valves. That all includes bags on leaf springs(err), 2 5 gallon tanks, 2 viair compressors, firestone bags with 3/8inch ports, 1/2inch airline, and installation. The only problem i've had with my truck is my damn AIR lift air commander. It seems to be all better now, so hopefully no more trips out to the shop. I'm near torrance CA, so if ur talking about the south bay that i live in, its about 40 minutes away. There is also a little place in lomita that does bags to. The Shop is its name. My friend got his 91 caprice done there. It hops, drags and didn't cost that much if you pay him in cash

its EAI stuff. I know people on this board knock EAI stuff, but i think its just the installer. My friend has had is caprice bagged for about 4 months, and hasn't had any problems with it. I've only had my truck for a couple weeks, and the only problems i've had is the damn AIr Ride engine driven compressor, but it should be fine now, or atleast i hope. One of the best EAI installers, tom wilson, works at Merzees Paint and Design. He bagged Cain's E-class, the owner of hack shack and EAI, and his yellow dually. They are both pretty sick. He prototyped the kit for avalanches and suburbans. His systems are meant to ride well, AIR RIDE, not bounce it up and down the street.

but if you wanna go with the SHop, Christian does some good work too. Some of its kindof ghetto, and his rides are meant to lay out, and drag. I wanted ride quality, so i went with the setup i have. The problem with air ride is people wanna do it cheap, the caprice has been redone about 4 times, by 2 different people. Finally Christian got sick of it and told my friend to do it right. As of right now it seems to have been done right.

if you wanna see the work the shop or Merzees has done, we can meet up some time and show you our rides.

Air Ride engine driven compressor? You mean Air Lift.

I agree w/ the others. $3,000 isn't much to spend on a quality air ride suspension. Avoid AIM/Chassis Tech, EAI, and others w/ poor reputations. Do it once, do it right!

EAI products are ok just avoid work from the Hack Shacks. Some are decent some aren't. They are all independent contractors that pay to use the name and EAI can't control what they do.

If you're looking for a bolt on kit, check out KP Components. Their cantilever 4-link is a great setup, and completely bolt on.

Air Ride, Air lift... i know there is a difference, but watever.

EAI only has poor reputations when the chit ain't installed right You guys always pitch ART and KP stuff, saying how great it is. But if you install that wrong, its gonna break too.

I just wanted to have one more than you

I would go kp all the way. Super easy to install even if you only have basic knowledge, and it works great. I havent heard any bad comments, and i know about 7 trucks from my home town that have the cani setup, and they all love it as well.

EAI Sucks! I am/was a dealer for them and they suck. Takes weeks to get parts. There kits are universal and not specific. They supposely bought alot of KP kits and never paid for all of them. They are like AIM. Trying to make knock off of everyone else sh!t. There customer service sucks. Took them 4 months to credit my credit card 400 bucks. I told the guy that if he didn't credit my account I would come down there and jam my fist down his throat.
PSI in livermore does good work. And is pretty reasonable. He does use alot of KP stuff. KP kits kits do rule. If you in the Nor cal bay Area my side business is Draggin By Customs. We are also a ACCU AIR dealer. Check out there Site-www.accuaircontrolsystems.com
