    2004 Silverado Side molding...

I just got a new Silverado in dark green and noticed that the side molding on the doors have a bubble on each piece. I went down to the dealership to look at other trucks and all the colored side moldings have the same bubbles and/or ripples. Just curious if anyone elses '04 silverado has the same problem and if there is a way to fix it. It doesn't really matter, but its brand new, and I would like for it to be smoothed out. I thought about just getting the black hard plastic molding.... none of those had this problem.

i dont remember any bubbles or ripples in my molding when i got my truck...then again i took my molding off...but being that your truck is new give it a little while maybe the molding will smooth out some...or you could take it off for a smoother look but i dont know what kinda look your going for...

    hope everything works out

    New member here........great site.

CzarKat: I have the same ripples in my driver side door molding. Dealer is going to replace it. The other 3 molding pieces don't have those ripples.

My 03 moldings have ripples. Going to replace them with chrome GMC moldings so I have protection on the bed too.

    Thanks for the replies.

I think I'll just go down to the dealership and see what they can do about replacing them. If they don't want to, I might just take them off as some of y'all have suggested.
