you will see the headlight retainer posts sticking up through the top of the grill. the adjustment screws are inside the hole near those. they are set down a few inches. i think to the right raised on one and turned in on the other?

I believe it's a phillips head but could be a T15/T20 torx head. Shine a flashlight in there to confirm

On my 92 I use a 1/4" rachet, 1/4" socket and a long extension. Works perfect if things are not siezed up. As for which way to turn I can't remember.

i was thinking on mine one was a phillips and one was a torx. i remember using two tools while making adjustment and i only have one torx set. but i do have aftermarket headlights.

My '99 Tahoe adjusters have a Torx on the inside (which stripped the first time I tried it) and (fortunately) a hex around the outside. I can never remember which way to turn them, so I just pull the whole assembly out. Doesn't really matter now. When I went to adjust them after I lifted it, I found the Minnesota winters had corroded the drivers side into one solid locked up lump.
