I have a vehicle (95 G20 van, 4.3L) that has a 4L60 tranny. By recently acquired 2000 OBS 2500 has a 4L80 in it. Just curious what the difference between the two tranny's is. Thanks,

    Kevin

They have different gear ratios and the 80 will hold more power, but will also reduse rwhp vs a 60.

The 4l80e and also a th400 have three main support bearings versus the 4l60e and th350 only have 2. i think they're the only ones with the 3 support bearings out of any manufacture.
    Thanks 9chevy4
