I Have A 1992 Chevy 2500 4wd W/ 5.7l With A Manual Transmission. I Had A Problem With Missing Out Between 1500 And 2000 Rpm. I Installed New Plugs, Wires, Distributor Cap, And Rotor. It Doesn't Miss Out Anymore But Now It Will Idle At About 800 Or 900 And Then All Of The Sudden Die On Me. It Will Do It Setting Or If I'm Coming To A Stop And Push In The Clutch. Basically When There Is No Load On The Engine And The Idle Gets Below 1000 Rpm. I Am Sure Work That I Just Did Is Fine Because It Runs Fine When I Am Actually Driving And Not Setting Idle. Any Suggestions Would Be Appreciated.

If it's really idling around 800-1000 then it's not idling too low; it sounds like you may have a vacuum leak. You might have disturbed a vacuum line or two while doing your tune-up, or your TBI base gasket may have given up.

I Have Already Checked The Vacuum Lines And Rechecked Them Again After The Suggestion. Today I Used Throttle Body Cleaner And Cleaned It Out Real Well But Still Not Much Better.

Your IAC might be stuck. It is the thing on the passagerside of the throttle body towards the back. It is round and about 3 inches long with wire coming out of it.

I will take a look at it. Is there a good way to check it or unstick it if needed?
