I'm installing a vortec 350 crate eng. in my 97 Silverado and I dont have a manual. I could use a little help with some torque specs. Mainly intake and exhaust manifolds. Is spark plug gap still .060 ?

Intake is 35 ft pounds and the exaust maniold 2 center bolt's 26 ft pounds and all the other bolt's are 20 ft pounds those are the numbers from a tbi engine but I imagine they would be the same on the vortec?

I guess you also want the torque secuence for the intake lol

looking from the front of the truck
    Left (pass side) 12, 11, 4, 1, 5, 6,
    Right (driver side) 10, 9, 3, 2, 7, 8,

Again that is for a tbi engine but the vortec may be different

DO NOT try 35 ft lbs on the intake!!! 11 to 12 ft lbs is all they require.

26 and 20 on the exh manifolds is still the same.

.060 still works on the plug gap.

TO TORQUE BOLTS START IN CENTER USING CRISSCROSS PATTERN WORKING OUTWARD. only 8 bolts on this intake.also use a small amount of blue lock-tight. This was told to me by the dealership before.
