My dad's '05 L33 is consuming a lot of oil; 1.5 qts in 1500 miles with 70,000 on the odo. I have read that a poorly designed valve cover is the issue here. Is this an issue that can be fixed as a recall? If not, what are the options? This problem seems to be getting worse with both his L33's. Any help wold be appreciated. Feel free to PM with details.

keep in mind, vin #'s over 10 yrs old may no longer be in gm's data base

Please check my truck for recalls - 2GCEK19T6Y1312665

All (again ALL) of my brake lines are completely covered in RUST and pitted very badly and in the past 2 weeks I have had 2 line break (spring leaks from pressure) and I dam near died TWICE because of this (blow through a 4-way stop intersection - no one there at the time and on a sharp corner, that goodness there was a wide open field for me to drive into). I replaced the MAIN LINE running to the rear (1st leak) and then just 1 week later the line running to the RT front brake went out. I have NEVER seen brake lines this bad before and I have lived in the worst areas of the country (AK, KY, CO, TX) for metal (ie road salts, sea salt, etc) THERE MUST BE A RECALL on these lines!!!!!

And I have looked up recalls on line and this year model has several recalls. I bought this truck from an elderly man 4 years ago and he had GM replace the drive shaft per a recall. My park brake has never worked and I am even replaced the cable TWICE, I did see a recall for this but not 100% sure!
