    Does this mean there was a recall that year and it may have been repaired, or that it has not been repaired?

    Hello... I just bought a 2000 silverado 1500, and it's got the fluttering gas gauge, and other minor issues, but I was curious if your still checking these vin's for recalls. Vin is 2GCEK19T9Y1196121

    The thing is starting to fall apart around me!

    -Both tailgate cables broke
    -wiper board is spotty and currently held together with duct tape and a wood shim!
    -a few annoying electrical SNAFUs

    second vehicle has tailgate strap replacement recall-- contact local dealership for appointment
