Heat it up with a hair dryer, pull it off and then use some adhesive remover to get the remaining residue off

What year truck is it? The NBS emblems usually come off nice and easy. On my '96 (which had the light-to-light 6" silver "Chevrolet" badge), I had to heat it with a blow dryer, and then use adhesive remover and alcohol to get the residue off, and then rub it out and buff it. At night with lights at an angle, you can still see where it was, but IMO, it looks 100% better!

The only issue with an OBS, is that the paint may have faded, and under the emblem, it's not faded. What year is the gate? I think the '97-'99 OBS had the little Chevy sign in the corner vs. the older uglier big silver "band". The newer ones are easier to take off.

FYI - 97 still has the ugly band. The metal underneath the band is probably the only steel on my truck without a scratch on it .

I didn't mind the silver band on my '93. To each his own, I reckon.

Do you guys have any experience of what dealers think of a de-badged truck when it gets traded in? Is it easy for them to just re-apply the badges to the truck before re-selling it?

I turned in three lease trucks without the banner, they don't care. On a trade in, dealers will not go through the expense/effort to replace it

I did not have the silver emblem on my 94, instead it had that black sticker with the gold letters that ran across the tailgate. I took it off when I got my truck repainted and it looks much better.
