Yes and No that i know of if you have the tailshaft adaptor from a full size then it will fit but the problem is that the s-10 trans is much weaker being it was designed and built for presumably a 4.3 v-6 and a lot lighter truck or SUV S-10 Jimmy/BLAZER if you put the grunt of a v-8 on it u might a have a ruined trans. My buddy and i had been tinkering with this for a few weeks he kept going through trans like one a week for three weeks and we found out that the transmissions he was getting from the salvage yard for close no nothing were out of s-10's he finally got a full size one and its held up but makes a funny noise every now and then the only real major prob i see is the power difference and the weight of the vehical difference. My Truck has a 700-R4 with 225,000 miles on it and its still holding strong but ive herd alot of other rigs lose third gear id like to know whats up with that?

If they are both 4x4 then yes. The s10/s15 has to be a 4.3 though, not a 2.8

Sorry i didnt mention it in my other reply the in the s-10/15 with a 2.8L is a TH200r-4 and the 4.3L is a 700-R4 on the 4.3L trans the torque converter is accually smaller and the internals are not as strong as one off a 305/350 the only reason i would use on of these is a temporary fix until i could get the original replaced or rebuilt. The 700-R4 i have in my 1987 Chevy 4x4 fullsize pickup still is strong after 235,000 miles i mean ive had to replace trans lines twice once was my fault and the other was a back yard mechanic using rubber lines instead of steel. But if u are looking for that trans i would go for one out of a 1987-1992 full size truck but make sure its fully functional i know they lose third every now and again. i hope i helped you out.

They never used a 200-4R in the S10/S15 chassis Even in 1982, they used a 700R4. The reason I said that it cant be from a 2.8 is because the 2.8 is a 60* V6, the 4.3 is a 90* V6, the bellhousing on the transmission are different.
