hey guys I just put a 3 inch suspension lift on my 1995 Tahoe and today while over a friends house he noticed oil dripping down on the ground, I crawled up under my truck and noticed Oil dripping from where the Oil filter goes in sideways to the adapter plate. It looks like its leaking from the plate but can't really tell. What i was wonder is there a gasket that goes between this plate and motor or could it be a rear main seal?

I take it, that its a pretty simple project? I just don't want to get in over my head.

had the same problem make sure you loosen those oil cooler lines before you start i didnt and went pulling on them fixed the gasket put it all back on no leak for like 30 min motor got warm and noticed leaking again found out one of the oil cooler lines were cracked from pulling on them
8 dollar kit from advanced auto comes with a couple paper gaskets and Orings(some not needed). 2 bolts like has been said. The hardest part is crawling under the truck. Good luck!Originally Posted by BigLenny

No reason to undo the cooler lines from the adapter, just leave them connected. Mine had 2 allen head bolts holding the adapter on, I put some thread lock on them when I put them back in just to make sure they stayed in place.
