You can look for one out of a 3/4 or 1 ton. You want to look for a NV4500.
Other then that save some moeny or a Tremic or other aftermarket trans.

i have a 1995 cheyenne with the 350 tbi it has the 5speed mg5 (RETRAG) tranny i was wanting to know if there is a better one out there for it or what i can put back in to repalce it thanks

Is your truck 2wd or 4wd? If 2wd, the T-56 out of certain (I don't remember the model years) cameros/firebirds is a sweet upgrade. If 4wd, the NV4500, like kcb37 said, is a viable option. I've looked into aftermarket trannies (like Tremec) but couldn't find anyone who made an adapter to bolt the tranny to the transfer case. TTC's website, which carries Tremec's trannies, only references 2wd applications. If you come across another option, please let me know.
