Usually when I do get pulled over I am able to talk or reduce the ticket, depending on what was done. But they don't think twice about pulling me over.
Dont you just love it when people/cops match your speed and hover in your blind spot area? Cops should atleast have a clue, but they still do it too

I was getting the impression he was staying there in order quickly get behind my truck and throw on the lights. But yes, blind spot drivers are bad.... rolling road block in front of you (where drivers in both lanes match each others slow speed) is worse.

Re: What did you do to your FSC today?

Not the cleanest job, but I blacked out the 'dead' gauges in the cluster. Replaced the stepper motor in the Speedo and mounted the mechanical gauges. I know it doesn't look like much, but it's much cleaner than how it was before.

Thats just water on the steering wheel. Weird weather in northern Az, sideways rain on a sunny day.

A couple more little projects to do before I take off on the road trip. I'm even thinking of installing a home made PCV/oil catch can. I am debating installing turn downs after my FM's or just leaving them open.

My trailer fenders didn't make it in time for me to mount them up before I go, so it looks like I'll be running mudflaps to Cali from Az. Hopefully that's good enough. Later I'll make a fuel pump mount with the aluminum angle stock.

I spent about 7.5 hours of doing a damn tune up on mine. I have a thread in maintenance area. Was a nightmare. Everything was breaking and just not going my way. But now she runs great.

Re: What did you do to your FSC today?

Got rid of some mods and returned things back to stock. About a year ago I got a radiator out of a junk yard. It was 28 inches wide instead of the stock 20'' which I thought was no big deal until I put it in. First, the fan shroud didn't fit and the ends of the radiator stuck out from the sides. I fabricated radiator mounts, but later discovered that instead of pulling air through the radiator and A/C condensor, the fan was pulling air through gaps between the fan shroud and the oversized radiator. Then I discovered that the drive belt was interfering with the lower radiator hose which now was in a different position because of the wider radiator so I removed the air pump and installed a shorter belt which solved that problem however resulted in lots of noise when I turned the A/C on. I could have installed an idler pully, but the air pump is essentially that once you remove all the pollution junk connected to it, so I stuck it back in, got a correct sized radiator and reinstalled the original belt. It all works much better now.

went to the 1/8th today to see what kind of gains I got over stock with my meager collection of go parts. I expected to be the slowest there but it turns out I actually had a few cars I could pick on. Bunch of V6 Mustangs there, ... probably my best competition. Bit faster than a stock automatic and a bit slower than a 5 speed with a decent driver. Not much bragging rights there, but a V6 full size keeping up with a V6 sports car is good enough for me until my V8 swap

LOL at the mustang being called a sports car...im a mustang fanatic but its no sports car. also the new 2012+ v6 mustangs are 305hp from the factory so youre still gonna have so stiff competition....and earlier cars with the 4.2 out of an f150 will surprise you esp if they are boosted
