hey ive had this truck about a year and for some reason the front wheels dont turn when i put it in 4hi or lo not sure what to check on these trucks any suggestions or help would be nice
front drive shafts is in place have auto locking hubs
The auto hubs are more than likely ****ed. Pull them out and check. Replace with manual locking hubs.
do i need a kit for auto to manual hubs or would some of the manual warn hubs be a direct replacement?
Direct replacement. Just pull the autos out and stick manuals in.
What do you mean when you say that the front wheels don't turn?
Are you saying that they cannot turn left and right - as in the steering wheel is locked up?
Or do you mean that the wheels cannot rotate and get dragged along- as if the brakes are locked up?
Or do you mean that you have lifted the up jack stands, shifted the transfer case to either 4WD position, started the engine, put it in drive and observed that the wheels just remain stationary?
I don't get it. How can your wheels not turn?
Are you really trying to say that you feel that there is no power being transmitted to the front wheels?
