I just put a rebuilt '92 5.7 & rebuilt 4L60E into my '94 K1500, still using the '94 harness & intake / all electronics, keep throwing code 32 for the EGR, I replaced the egr solenoid & Egr valve with new (correct part #'s) hoses are good, vacuum is good @ the throttle body

I'm @ my wits end, every time I work on it I disconnect the battery &confirm that the code is cleared but then it come back, I've got new parts what else??

    Map?? O2 sensor??

I kept throwing the same code on the tbi in my 85, I went through the same thing you did replacing all the egr parts. I finally fixed it by putting a heated 02 sensor in it. But I'm running long tube headers so that might make a difference. I don't know for sure, just throwing the idea out there.

The haynes is probably going to say that you need to test out the circuits continuity and if that checks out, replace the ECU. I'd be frustrated too. Good luck.

the MAP sensor seems fine, I'm going to recheck that the new EGR solenoid & valve are working correctly, the only other thing I can think to replace is the O2 Sensor.....??

everything worked just fine before I pulled the tired original motor.

[as far as manuals I have them all Haynes, Chiliton, GM factory Manual, + Sensors/EFI book that covers domestic & Foreign]
