    I need to replace the pick up coil in my distributor. 1993 K1500 w/ 5.7
    How do you get it off?

    Just unscrew the cap under cap is coil. Unscrew the coil and replace theres no wrong way to put on.

    The pickup coil requires you to remove the distributer, drive roll pin out of the gear and pull the shaft out, then change the coil and reverse the job.

    Yup just did mine...Check it with a ohm meter first...Save you the trouble if it aint bad. Several people here know the reading you should see. Mine was good and I did it for nothing....Oh well live and learn.
