    I bought a 1999 Suburban equipped with keyless entry but came with no fobs. I had to replace the module though because it wasn't working, so my keyless entry module is from a 1999 Tahoe, I hope the fobs are the same.... however I can't tell what to look for. I see fobs on ebay and other places and they are all different (some of them have the truck pop button on it, some have "Rear 2x". What does your fob look like?

    1999 Chevy Tahoe LS (4WD/4DR/Barn Doors)

    As you can see, it's had some use over the years

    Back:

    Numbers on the back are;

    GM: 16245100-29
    Canada: 218101368
    Model/FCC ID: AB01502T

    Use the top one (16245100-29) if you plan to order it from ebay or any other place.

    Well, I wouldn't worry about it that feature...I can't get it to work on my truck.

    Oh, well I guess that explains why most remotes I find don't have it.

    Well I've seen the GMT400 Escalades and Yukon Denalis use the same type of keyfob as mine (with the horn button) and it's a working feature on them.

    I don't know what the difference is between the two when it comes to that feature but I'm, sure someone could chime in.

    aka Richard

    edit: Just remembered, on the GMT400 Escalades and Denalis, their lights also flash when locking/unlocking them. So I'm sure there's a difference between the two when it comes to that.

    The red horn button is a panic button you can press and the horn starts beeping while your getting raped or you lose your Escalade at the mall.

    Well, is there anyway to get it to work with my Tahoe? It's not like I'd ever need to use it for either use (OBS keyfobs range is an amazing 5 feet...)

    But I'd like to have a working button...
