well, honestly, I have a free set of NGKs here(supplier gave them to me) TR55GP, the GP is NGKs G-Power, which, as far as I can tell, is just a smaller diameter center platinum electrode, otherwise they are TR55 plugs, I am trying to find if that is the plug that people here have had good luck with

otherwise, platinums or double platinum, AC or NGK, no preferance

Re: what spark plugs for a 2000 6.0?

I just replaced mine and did some searching around on here, performancetrucks.net, ls1tech, and ls1truck. Most people use and recommend oem or standard NGK TR55s (I believe they are called v-power plugs). Both work great and i have heard nothing but great things about both. I replaced mine with TR55s. They were cheap and my truck runs great. I think i read that the oem ones are suppose to last longer, but they are much more expensive. Read several threads about people having bad results with other plugs though, even some of the super duper advanced plugs that you see commercials about lol.

Re: what spark plugs for a 2000 6.0?

I am running TR5IX (not 55's). GM recommended closing the gap from 0.060 to 0.040 in an all encompassing GEN III truck TSB, hence why I went with the TR5IX (0.040) over the TR55IX (0.060). My truck was new enough to be gapped at 0.040 (AC 41-110's) from the factory.

    They work great.

i would stick with the ac delco plugs personally. the place i bought my truck from put bosch platinum plus 4 in my truck and 10,000 miles later i was pulling them out. my truck started running like **** and missing every now and then. i have been told my several gm techs that delcos are the only way to go on the newer motors if you want them to last any more than 40,000 miles.

You had "gimmick" plugs, that was the problem.

    Keep this in mind.
