    Frame Beaming Upgrade ?'s

Ive been living with a horrible bouncing action around 45-50mph. After kicking the truck for awhile and wanting to get rid of it, I finally decided to try to research the problem. Ive came across some bulletins from GM explaining the problem and how to fix it. Ive read a lot of guys that complain about their trucks on SoCal freeways and how rough they are and all the mods and upgrades they have done with little to no help to the problem.

I wanted to share the info with you guys, as when I searched the forums found little to no reference to frame beaming. I don't live in SoCal but have the same issues on my truck. Also I wanted to ask if anyone has done the upgrade and what part#s they used. The numbers they list for the upgraded cushions dont match into my VIN# according to gmpartsgiant.com. Should I still order those #'s or the ones for my VIN?

    Re: Frame Beaming Upgrade ?'s

I have an 07 nbs crew cab with the terrible Beaming problem from 45-60mph. I am going crazy with the vibration that shouldn't be there and am hoping that installing the hydraulic cab mounts will make it tolerable. I know that when i put about 300lbs behind the rear axle, the problem is gone, but who wants to ride around with that in their bed. I didnt realize that this problem occured on the earlier models, as I had a 03 ext. cab 2500 with no beam shake at all. Did you find any resolve for your truck?

The gmt900 rear cab mounts will fix this and help, I am going to do this to my 95 this summer. They are GM's fix to the frame beaming and put out a bulletin for it.

So can I buy these new hydraulic mounts at the dealership only or are there other places I could get them for a better price?

You can order them there, through GM Part Direct, or maybe through a local body shop if you know one well.

    Re: Frame Beaming Upgrade ?'s

No problem, I have not actually put them in or even ordered them, I was looking at $300+ and this summer I couldnt justify it, but now that I will be graduated and have a job I will do this mod
