    02 silverado 1500 5.3L 4x4

    what fluid do i use for transfer case and how much of it?

    and if i drain the tranny fluid out the pan to change filter and fluid how much do i need to fill her back up? average amount should be fine

    Auto-trac II fluid...takes about 2 quarts and is a dealer only item. Around $9 a quart but varies by dealer.

    trans pan refill is usually roughly 5qts after filter change

    any specific tranny fluid i need? or will napa stuff work?

    and the mitchell spec sheet for truck says 2 diff fluids for transfer case one is autotrak 2 for automatic tcase control and it says
    dextron 3 for part time transfer case control which is which tad confused here
