Wife's 2007 suburban Z71 was making a little rear diff noise and also had a fluid leak at the tube end. Picked up some Moog/National repair bearings with integral seal, I can't get these suckers in at all.. Are they usually really difficult? O'Reilly's site says they are 2.842 diameter, they measure more like 2.845 with my caliper while the housing ends measure 2.841, thus my issue.. Both tubes measure same, both bearings measure same. That would be excessive interference fit wouldn't it?
hoping the Delco parts house is open on the holiday tomorrow to try their brand.

Sounds like the "repair" bearing is overdiameter to fit in a wallowed out axle tube.
Try the freezer trick, and heating the axle tube, as mentioned.
I had to put my LBJ's in the freezer for 2hrs before they would even contemplate fitting in the LCA.
