transmission fluid leak ...¿?

    Unhappy transmission fluid leak ...¿?

    hi my 1981 truck is leaking transmission fluid ..from a 3" round cap in the right side of the transmission .. ..somebody know how to fix this ... ??? i dont know the name of that stuff ..is like a big cap whit a Ring locking it

    Is it like a thin metal, and does it look like it is meant to be removed?

    yes it is removable i think ...because i can press it whit my hand ...i take some pictures but i dont know were are they ... in my haynes manual theres a little photo ..it says transmission assembly ..but that's all it doesn't say anything else !!

    I beleave you have the th350. That side cover (on the right) is for an accumulator. There is an o-ring around the cap.

    right there is a O-ring holding the cap ... somebody know how to stop the leak ?? ....

    I'm guessing its a bad oring then, might be able to pick one up at an auto parts store. sounds like a messy job though.

    yes it was a messy job but now is fixed ..there's a spring under the cap ..it was broke i just replace that and now the leak is gone ..thnks for the help ..
