Hey fellas... Name's Travis. I just sold my 00 dodge dakota, v6 handshaker for an 00 ext cab, 4wd LS Silverado. I paid 1000 bucks for the truck because it didnt have a motor in it. I bought a 5.3 for 650 and in 7 days... only turning wrenches after work, in the driveway on the concrete I fired her off. I am finding myself fixing little stupid things the gas gauge is acting up and the door pins are wore out. Drove the truck to work today, rides a whole heck of a lot better than my dakota did. No big plans for it, just want a nice comfortable full size. I have installed a prodigy P3, and I will be putting some air ride springs in the rear. Thinking about a leveling kit on it. But I am not sure right this second. Maybe a k&n drop in and a tune.

I have been searching and searching on here about common issues that my truck is having, tell me if I am on the right track fellas...

Tow haul button, from what I have seen, there is an orange wire that needs to be reconnected.

the "service 4wd" light is on, this can be a malfunction in the 4wd switch?

The ABS light is on... this can be a tone ring or an abs sensor at the wheels

I already said the gas gauge, so I bought a new fuel sender unit, but I havent installed it yet.

Welp, I got the "clunk" in the drivetrain fixed... turns out some grease on the slip yoke and I was good to go. I went ahead and ordered a new 4wd switch... hopefully that will fix my "service 4wd" light. Picked up some tires yesterday... and going to tackle the tow/haul orange wire tonight.
