    Steering Wheel Position Sensor

    Anyone had experience replacing the sensor? Its on the lower part of the steering collum but is really hard to get to. And ideas?

    Sounds like the same issue on the 98. The steering will be tight then loose. The pitman/idler and outter tie rods are 6 months old.

    Some instances the driver can be making a turn and in the middle of the turn the steering wheel will feel like it broke loose for a split secind then catch itself. Does yours do this also?

    Pretty odd this will be the second one of these sensors to go bad in 4 years.

    Check the loose nut behind the wheel.

    i got my new sensor from gmpartsdirect for like 40 bucks or something like that. the sealer wanted like 70. im gonna change mine soon b/c driving on the highway is a little more interesting than my taste.
