Hey Guys
Just got done doing a rear disc conversion on my 1999 Suburban. Replaced basically the entire brake system, new master cylinder, rotors front and rear, calipers front and rear, and all SS brake lines.
When I replaced the lines/calipers I was careful to cap off the lines so very little fluid was lost. Now I need to bleed the brakes. I've read alot of articles on the procedure, some say you need a scan tool, others say it's not needed. Some say you need to use a proportioning valve depressor when you pressure bleed the system. All this info is confusing. I have one of the proportioning valve tools but can't figure out how to use it. I have attached a picture perhaps someone out there has used one of these. Any advice on the best way to bleed the brakes on this truck would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
