    First Year Of Rear Disc Brakes?

    Was It 97? Were There Any 5 Lug Discs? I Wonder Cuz I Want To Kno If Theres Any Rear End Swaps That Are Direct Bolt On So That I Can Have Disc Brakes In The Rear Of My 89 Short Bed.i Dont Want To Drop A Whole Lot Of Cash On A Kit So Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1999 NBS was the first production with rear disks.

    There are conversion packages for the OBS that you have.

    SOme have had luck swapping in a NBS rear axle and then using light duty 3/4 ton rotors to swap all to 6 lug.

    First year for rear disk brakes was 99.

    Or you can convert from the Impala SS discs brakes. There was an article written about it. But I swear I cant find it that thing anywhere.

    I remember reading there were some modifications you had to do to make convert over. IF some knows about this let us know.

    Yea I Bet It Would Work But I Want To Keep My Five Lugs Cuz I Have 20 Inch Weld Evo's On My Truck 22's In My Room Waiting On Tires Both Five Lug.so Id Be Better Off Keeping My Five Lugs.if Worse Comes To Worse Ill Just Break Down And Buy That F*cking High Dollar Kit!
