Everytime I see someone do it to theirs they usually have it done for some reason...
I think its because the axles run about 3-400 and it usually cost about 600-800 to have it done by a shop...
How did you go about narrowing your rear end?
I know you can get the shafts directly from moser for 265 pair. I am asking about the housing.
Txhardhittaz just got his done. I was wondering the same thing, because of all the axle mounts. The shop sectioned the axle tubes towards the ends, so everything else stayed the same. He uses a jig to keep everything square.

most shops will respline the axles if the axle allows it.
it keeps cost down.
they usually just the flange off then take off the amont you want and put the flange back on with new bearings and seals.
im getting mine done for 500$ drop of axle and pick up. and thats with new axles cuz i cant spline mine
if your axle is bare with no tabs or anything. you can cut it by the pumpking and use straight edges and stands to hold the rear end and tubes. just measure a ****load and use straight edges perpindicular with the flange and measure from end to end. before you weld it up
