    4L80E line pressure

    does anyone know how high the line pressure one a 4L80E can be turned up with a tune before it will damage the solinoid. or even how have you can set the shift times before hurting anything

    if no one knows, whats all of your trans pressure turned up to with out having any problems

    my factory service manual(1992) says
    drive, park or neutral 25-171psi
    reverse 67-324psi

    what im looking for is what you CAN crank it up to saftly without hurting the trans not what the stock pressure is. Thank you though for your response.

    these are minimum and maximum pressures for the 4L80e to perform correctly, whether you have a stock tune or not. if you tune to exceed the maximum or go under the minimum you can damage the transmission.

    check line pressure with stock tune first to establish a baseline, then go from there.
