Can I replace the oil filter adapter in 97 k1500

I bought this truck in September and have had to replace gasket twice. Each has lasted about 2000 miles. Now it's leaking again is there an aftermarket adapter I can put on. I already have the 4 wheel drive removed so that isn't the problem.

I guess that means no. So let me ask this what causes the leak and how do I fix it. First time I just replaced the gasket and oring. Second time I coated the oring with silcone gasket. Now what do I do.

You removed the 4wd? Why would you do that? You won't need the shorty filter like he has if you don't have a drive shaft.

I bought it that way I have the drive shaft. I don't live on a dirt road so I don't really have a reason to put it back on

I don't live on a dirt road anymore, but I still use my four wheel drive a lot . Winter or not……
