Re: D&)# Rear End!
I am going to pick up mine in a few min. 1994 K2500 14 bolt w/6 lug. They are supposedly a drop in. I'll find out the hard way tomorrow. Anyone who was done this swap, please post and let me know if I am in for a headache. I have a 96 K1500 Suburban now with a 8.5". I am putting in a 1994 K2500 9.5".

I found a 9.5" in Appleton, WI for $375. 9.5's seem cheaper than 8.5's. They have another there, stock #P838. The one I got is P1111. So if you see it still on the net, it has been claimed!

The costs of the 14 bolt 9.5" seem cheaper than the 8.5", but G80's are not as common. I'll sacrifice as long as it stays intact.

I don't want to keep putting the same crap in there and having it go to hell. Who can afford that?!!?

My question is: What can I put in there instead? Did the light-duty (6 lug) 2500's use heavier gears? Is there a 14 bolt, 6 lug axle? I've never seen one. HELP!

Thanks gang,

Jason
