There are plenty of viable alternatives to bodydropping your truck, and they don't have to cost $10k. Even if you don't have any skills to do it yourself, you can have a shop do a bodydrop for $2500 to $5000, and you've got a complete job, and depending on who did the work, it can be 100% reliable.

It just doesn't make sense to me to buy a whole new frame unless you're piecing together a truck from scratch.

your quite right kevin just personally myself i love the complete frame look like a race car chassis you know but i have seen many traditional and stock floor with the stock frame bd that are awsome too there are just different ways for people with different tastes.
