Actually, I ditched the "vortec" styled 195 degree thermostat for a old fashion standard 54mm 180 degree thermostat. That was two years ago and still no problems. And truck has run at 183 degrees since
OE type thermo
replaced with old type of thermo, but used the OE seal.
