Seems like every one of the trucks have this problem.
I believe I read somewhere that the dealer has 1/2"-3/4" front coil spacers to replace the original thin no-squeek pad
under the bottom of the coil spring. Same for the rear leaf springs.
Any auto parts house spacer installed in-between the coils would probably affect the travel.
A good GM parts guy should be able to answer this.
My '03 1500 RCSB (with trailering package) height varies 1/2"-3/4" lower at the left rear with a full tank.
Low tank it's dead even at the rear wheel openings.
