Re: My advice on lowering your truck static.
i am also really thinking about a 2"/2" or a 2"/3" drop on my 1992 silverado stepside. i want to keep the some rake in there... i have to say this thread was a huge help.. all 13 pages of it. now i would like to hear what you guys may have to say about my plan.
i am thinking of shackles in the rear... now i have heard mix reviews on theses... so they may suck to put on but do you get 2" or 3" with them? i would prefer 3" if there are any differences between specific manufactures.
as for the front... i would like to do a 2" drop and would prefer to use spindals.. however i get the vibe that this idea wont work with my stock 15" rims without cutting is this true? and if cutting is involved where and how? (any pics would be great) or would it just be better to get a 2" spring? i would like to keep my stock rims for winter use as this is a daily driver and don't wanna ruin nice rims with salt...
also with this project i have no idea where to get shocks from or where to get shocks... so if any links can be posted or specifics listed that would be a huge help!
i would like to keep this whole project as cheap as possible as well... so please provide any info that will help me out. i put a pic of the truck.. i like the look but a little lower will def make it look a little meaner...
if ya wanna see the truck its in "my gallery"
thanks in advanced!
