I agree on the 18v DeWalt XRP. I just got a new kit for Christmas to replacae my 11 year DeWalt Drill & Saw (OK, not replace in addition to). My original batteries started failing about 3 years ago. So I bought 2 new ones a year or so ago. Still kept the old ones even though reduced run time. Got the new kit for Christmas. Just bought a Right Angle w/ 2 more batteries. I'm up to 8, w/ 6 of them being almost new.

I have drill, hammerdrill, impact driver, cut-off tool, 5 3/8" saw, 6 1/2" saw, recriprocating saw, right-angle drill, and finally the flashlight. All work well. I've used a few different Craftsman, they are super slow compared to my DeWalts and a lot shorter battery life.
