I see you already purchased your new drill, but IMO the RIDGID is by far the best. I own a construction company, and am very hard on tools, and they see extreme temperatures. (hot and cold) I always liked the DeWalts, but had to replace the batteries every year. RIDGID has a lifetime warranty on all of thier tools, including brushes, motors, and BATTERIES. (as long as you send in the warranty card) The only problem I have ever had was a switch shorted out in a cordless sawzall, which fried the motor and the battery. Five days later the sawzall was rebuilt, and had a new battery. With a warranty like that I have saved a lot of $$$$, and I have never had to replace a battery other than the one on the sawzall.
