Propane
I am going to buy a Duramax in a little over a year. Going to try to get an 05.
I am going to try to figure out all the quirks and mods that I can do without getting to far into it, and without just wasting money.
So my question is, do any of you have propane injection on your diesels?
If so how much did it help with mpg, and power. (not looking for dyno #'s, unless you have them)
Was it worth the money for the kit?
Is it worth spending the money on the propane for what you get out of it?
I know it will have a pay off time. I also know that can take a few years if you don't drive it every day or long distances when you do.
I am just thinking, and for those of you who don't know what propane injection does in a diesel, it is supposed to, completely burn the fuel going into the cylinders, adds power "by burning all fuel", and gets better mpg "by getting a complete burn". If it actually does get a full burn then I can see where it would be worth it. If not then it would probably take to long to pay off. I also don't know how much the Duramax dosen't burn compared to older diesels.
I know that was kinda long, but thank you for your patience, and your responces.
