There's some good powerline roads out on Chenal. If you're going towards the big Walmart on Chenal and Cantrell/Highway 10 (Coming from the West LR and Kroger on Chenal), it's the very last left turn before Chenal goes in to 2 lanes. You'll be driving by a bunch of really nice subdivisions on the left of that road, but a little ways back on the right there's a small entrance through the trees. It's a pretty tight squeeze but my Yukon managed to make it through. There's also a burned up hull of an OBD 4dr Tahoe/Yukon not too far back there
And out by Lake Winona (about a 30 min. drive from my house in West LR) there's some good trails that go around the lake in the Ouachita National Forest. Just keep going on highway 10 until you turn left onto highway 9, and a couple of miles down hwy 9 on the right is the entrance of "Winona Scenic Drive". It's beautiful country up through there. The only mildly difficult/challenging trails are past the spill way of Lake Winona. Some of that's a pretty tight fit, but my Yukon managed to make it through there. Oh, and if you do go back in there,
make sure you bring a map of the area. My dad and I got lost for 2 hours back there because we didn't know where we were going, haha.
There are some good trails and some small mudholes all throughout that area though. I've gone out there in my old Blazer and driven for over 60 miles without ever touching pavement. And the best part is, almost everything out there is federal land, so you don't have to worry much about accidentally winding up on someones property (the private property that is out there is very heavily marked).
Sorry about the essay guys, haha. I hope this helps somebody out.
Oh, and here's a pic of my old Blazer after a day of wheeling out there:

You know it was a good day when your hood is covered in tadpoles
