the "3/4 ton" axle is essentially a half ton axle, with 2 more lug studs, and a bit bigger rotor. bearings and everything are the same. the Dana 60 is quite a bit beefier all around, including the wheel bearings which will be required to support the weight of the Cummins 100% of the time. your 1/2 ton front axle isnt designed to support that kind of weight.
